Among a host of features, they offer the ability to view dog breeds alphabetically or by group. AKC is the standard by which all purebred dog breeds are measured in the United States. Their site is well worth the visit and could prove to be just the website you need to come to a decision about which dog breed to own.

A nice site that lists many of the most common breeds along with their characteristics. By clicking a simple link, you can view breeds by sizes. From small dog breeds of under 10” to Large dog breeds of over 25”. Listings for each breed also includes breeders' contact information.

Excellent dog breed website with comprehensive information on a wide variety of dog breeds. Every breed includes a good sized picture along with ratings for a wide variety of characteristics that include Energy level, Exercise requirements, Playfulness, Ease of Tolerance, Watchdog ability, Cold tolerance, and Heat tolerance to name a few. The site also gives the dog breeds' history, temperament, upkeep requirements and any health concerns the breed may have. Overall a site any dog lover will enjoy.

Most breeds listed conform to AKC standards although a few dog breeds outside of the AKC are listed.
